| Abstract:It is the key to image processing to select the appropriate edge detection operator and get the precision concavity and convex character information for the surface features of IC card concavity characters.The Canny operator is used to extract the edge features of bump characters.And through several classic edge detection operators to verify the effect of Canny operator，verify that the Canny operator is an effective edge detection method.According to the edge detection results of the Canny operator，the threshold image is selected to segment the character image to obtain the histogram of the binarized image.Compared with the traditional binarization method，the satisfactory results are obtained.And improve the recognition rate of characters. |
