| Development of Industrial Temperature Measurement System Based on OpenCV and Edge Detection |

| Abstract:An OpenCV-based detection system was designed to measure the temperature of high-temperature steel billets on a steel production line, displaying results in pseudo-color images. To prevent non-saturated pixel areas from affecting detection accuracy, a filtering and identification algorithm was implemented to recognize valid regions within the images. This approach utilizes the Laplacian operator to differentiate connected domains and incorporates morphological target matching based on Hu moments. Experimental results demonstrate that this method reliably identifies effective calculation regions and displays temperature images in real time. In validation experiments, the system's maximum temperature measurement error remains within 2.32%, thus fulfilling on-site application requirements. |
